Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

CipherAttack is a mobile word-puzzle game developed and operated by Traiect. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you play CipherAttack, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

2. Information We Collect

CipherAttack does not require you to create an account or provide an email address. We collect the following limited information:

Display name: A name you choose voluntarily to appear on the public leaderboard.
Game scores and streaks: Your puzzle solve times, scores, and streak data used for leaderboard ranking and game progress.
Push notification token: An anonymous device token provided by your device's notification service, collected only if you grant notification permission. Used solely to deliver in-game notifications.
Device locale: Your device's language setting, used to display the app in the correct language. This is read at runtime and is not stored on our servers.
Advertising ID (optional): If you consent to personalized advertising (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS or equivalent on Android), Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and related data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. If you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown.

3. How We Use Your Information

To display your name and score on the public leaderboard.
To track your in-game progress, streaks, and personal bests.
To deliver push notifications about daily puzzles and game events (only if you opted in).
To serve rewarded advertisements via Google AdMob, enabling optional in-game rewards.
To manage in-app purchase entitlements via RevenueCat.
To detect and prevent cheating, manipulation of leaderboard data, or abuse of the service.

4. Leaderboard & Public Data

CipherAttack features a public leaderboard. If you choose to participate, your display name and score will be visible to all users of the app. Please choose a display name that you are comfortable sharing publicly.

We do not associate leaderboard entries with any personally identifiable information such as email addresses. You may request removal of your leaderboard entry by contacting us at [email protected].

5. Third-Party Services

CipherAttack integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

Google AdMob: Serves rewarded video ads within the game. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad targeting and measurement, subject to your ATT consent choice on iOS. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
RevenueCat: Manages in-app purchase verification and subscription state. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID and purchase receipt data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Expo Push Notifications: Delivers push notifications via Expo's push service (exp.host). Only your anonymous push token is transmitted. No personal data is shared with Expo beyond the token needed for delivery.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party, and none of the above services receive your display name or game scores for advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your display name, scores, and streak data for as long as you continue to use the app. Leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely unless you request removal.

To request deletion of all data associated with your display name or device, please email us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

Right to access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
Right to restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data.
Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell personal data. This right is satisfied by our practices.
Right to withdraw consent: You may revoke advertising tracking consent at any time via your device's privacy settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking).

8. Children's Privacy

CipherAttack is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information through the app, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete such data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of CipherAttack after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
